Black Rhino Game Lodge offers a variety of safari activities that allow guests to experience the beauty and wildlife of Africa. Game viewing is one of the most popular activities on an African safari, providing visitors with an opportunity to see and photograph a wide variety of wildlife in their natural habitat.

  • Morning and evening game drives.
  • Bird watching from the viewing hide.
  • Bush walk (subject to seasonality and at an additional cost).

Game Drives
During a game drive, visitors will typically ride in open-sided 4x4 vehicles, led by experienced guides who are knowledgeable about the area and its wildlife. Early morning and late afternoon game drives are the most popular, as these times offer the best chances of spotting wildlife when they are most active.

Walking Safaris

Guests can go on guided walks with experienced guides, who will take them through the wilderness to learn about the smaller details of the environment, such as tracks, plants, and insects. Walking safaris are conducted with an experienced guide who is knowledgeable about the local wildlife and ecosystems. Guides may also have specialized training in wilderness first aid.

Night Drives

Night drives provide visitors with the unique and exciting opportunity to see South African nocturnal wildlife in their natural habitat. After dinner drives are bookable directly with the lodge reception at the cost of R 500.00 per person per drive, subject to availability, with no children under 12 years of age allowed on the night drives.

African Cultural Dancing

Unique Heritage
African cultural dancing is an important aspect of African culture, with a rich history that spans many different traditions and regions.

African cultural dancing is often characterized by its rhythmic and energetic movements, with dancers using their entire bodies to express themselves. African dancing has significant social and cultural significance, often to mark important events and celebrations such as weddings, harvest festivals, and religious ceremonies. Many African cultural dances have spiritual significance, with dancers invoking ancestral spirits and other supernatural forces through their movements.
